ABOUT PARISO ART
Here at Pariso Art we offer art classes and exhibition opportunities for youth of all ages! Both Alison and Frank Pariso have taught grades 6-12 art class in the Virginia public school system for a collective 10 years. We love teaching art to kids of all ages because our primary school education included arts magnet middle and high schools, and we've learned first-hand how much art can positively impact young lives! Alison graduated from The Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2013 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking. She is knowledgeable in many different forms of art including drawing, painting, printmaking, papermaking, sculpture, fiber arts, and photography. She's passionate about teaching her students how to make art that is relevant and unique to each individual, and always encourages her students to express themselves through a creative outlet and to explore many different artistic mediums. Alison believes that making art is more important and relevant now than ever - virtual and hybrid art teaching during a pandemic has taught her that art will always prevail and that technology only makes it more accessible. Alison and Frank have two kids of their own (ages 3 and 6), and enjoy making art together as a family! Before becoming teachers, they lived in Boston and NYC and were on completely different career paths. Alison was an art gallery director and an art handler at the reknowned Sotheby's Auction House. They moved to Virginia in 2015 and a series of unexpected life events led them to their current teaching career paths and they haven't looked back because they love what they do!
